Vacation with Kids – Timber Creek Retreat
Some of my favorite memories as a kid were when my parents would arrange to go on vacation with two or three other families. The children would form a semi-tribal unit that would entertain itself, leaving the adults plenty of time to do their own thing. Evenings were filled with family games like charades, sardines, etc. It was great fun and we always came home a much closer family unit than when we arrived.
Timber Creek Retreat is one of those perfect family vacation homes – not only does it sleep 28 – comfortably – it has it’s own Kid Zone. Unofficially designated as “adults by invitation only”, it houses TV, DVD, foose ball, game-cube, basketball hoop, hang-out space and plenty of bunk beds, trundles and puzzle beds with pillows for 12. It even has its own private bathroom.
