Driving up to the classically-styled mountain cabin with its slate gray shingles contrasting with the pure whiteness of the fresh snow is sure to raise a smile. It’s the quintessential vacation hideaway, a cabin in a mountain paradise surrounded by majestic pines and fresh air. The expansive windows–including the high window walls of the living room that rise up to the peaked gables–offer a glimpse of what’s to come inside, while the deck wraps around and embraces much of the main floor granting easy access to enter most any room.
Before you park in the two-car garage with automatic doors, pause for a moment to enjoy the view of the peaks and valleys surrounding you. You’ll notice the ski slopes are not just nearby, they’re right outside. You’ll be skiing out the back door when it’s time to hit the trails and skiing back in when the day is through. As you pause once more to enjoy the mingling smells of pine needles, fresh mountain air and the fire from the chimney, you’ll no doubt feel as though you’ve come home.
